About me...
Hello! I’m Rachel Propes, an Honors student majoring in UX Design at Northwest University. I am an analytical problem solver with a detail-orientated fascination for how things work and a passion for creativity and design. My life has been shaped by a consistent desire to serve others, a love of learning, and a dedication to projects. Growing up I was always creating something and volunteering my time to help people. I first learned about UX design as a prospective student visiting Northwest University where I ultimately decided to pursue my Bachelors in UX.
I believe in the inherent value and purpose of people. Through my education I have become dedicated to understanding user needs through research, innovating solutions to meet those needs, and designing experiences that simplify people's lives and bring them joy. I am excited to work in UX design and continue to learn and grow in my skills and enhance my ability to serve people. UX designers are constantly creating: sketching, writing, prototyping, storytelling, whiteboarding, researching, reporting, and iterating. Every day we have countless opportunities to create, whether it’s with our words, markers, or keyboards. We get to watch our work come to life, from that first spark of an idea to a final product. As I continue this journey I am excited to dedicate my skills and passions to creating human centered solutions that positively impact those I create for.
